JAMES ISAAC American Jim Isaac began his career in the playhouse, where he wrote, produced and directed numerous original plays. Years later, Isaac was hired by Lucasfilm to work in the special effects creature shot on the third Star Wars film, Return of the Jedi (1983). Isaac continued to work as an animatronics technician and key puppeteer on films such as Gremlins (1984), and The Fly (1986). The latter of which earned his team an Oscar for Special Visual Effects.
