JOHN A. DAVIS
American-born Davis partnered up with Keith Alcorn to create DNA
Productions, Inc in 1987. The company created 2-D and 3-D animation for a
number of commercial and entertainment companies. Almost ten years later,
Davis and Alcorn teamed with actor/producer/director Steve Oedekerk and his
company. Here Davis wrote and directed a number of award-winning short
animated films.
In 1997 he created the 3-D animated television special, Santa vs. the
Snowman. The special went on to win a Gold Award from the WorldFestHuston
International Film Festival, and a Lone Star award. Before directing his
first feature, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (2001), he had directed a
number of other animated shorts including the Emmy-nominated Olive the
Other Reindeer, and AJ's Time Travelers.
