Justin Long Biography

JUSTIN LONG

Date of Birth: June 2, 1978

Before graduating from Vassar College in 2000, Long had already gained a mass of acting experience throughout his school years. Besides being a two-year member of Laughingstock, a sketch comedy group at the school, and taking part in a number of school plays, he extended his theater credits by working on a number of productions outside of school including New York Stage & Film, Westport Theatre Artists Group and Fairfield Summer Theatre.

He made his movie debut in a major studio film, Galaxy Quest. Playing sci-fi geek Brandon who ends up helping the crew save the universe was a big boost for Long's career. Soon after, he landed a regular role on the TV series Ed, playing Warren Cheswick. He stayed with the show for the four year run, but continued to work in films during hiatus from the series.

Next came a part in the summer teen film, Happy Campers and a starring role in the horror flick, Jeepers Creepers, as well as the sequel, Jeepers Creepers 2 (2003). His appearance in Crossroads (2002), Britney Spears' movie debut, luckily didn't hurt his career despite the movie being lambasted by critics. After playing opposite stars such as Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn in the comedy Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, he was the romantic lead opposite Lindsay Lohan in Herbie Fully Loaded (2005).

Happy to take on a variety of roles, whether comedy or dramatic, his star continues to rise with five movies released in 2006, including a supporting role in The Break Up (2006) starring Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn and the starring role in Accepted (2006) for Universal Pictures.

While filming He's Just Not That Into You (2009) in 2008, he met Drew Barrymore and they began dating. After a brief break up, they got back together again and then co-starred in the romantic comedy Going the Distance (2010).

In the summer of 2010) he starred in a production of Samuel J. and K. at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

Justin is also famous for his numerous Apple Mac computer commercials.
