Kevin Greutert Biography

KEVIN GREUTERT

Date of Birth: March 31, 1965

Born and raised in Pasadena, California, Kevin Greutert has taken on many titles to his name. He worked as the editor for all the Saw movies until Saw VI, in which he made his directorial debut, followed by Saw 3D. Prior to his success with the Saw films, Greutert published fiction stories in a few magazines and has also performed several music scores. He was originally signed on to direct Paranormal Activity 2, however, due to a contract agreement, had to be pulled from the project. Greutert has also been part of the editing team on blockbusters such as Titanic and Armageddon, and was brought onto the first Saw film after his work on Disney's George of the Jungle II.

Throughout his directorial work on the Saw films, Greutert also kept a blog entitled "Noisy Ghost," in which he discussed the process of filming Saw 3D as well as his inspiration for the movie.
