OLIVIA WILDE
Date of Birth: March 10, 1984
Though Olivia Wilde's television breakout role was in the Fox series Skin, about two teens who fall in love despite being from feuding families, only three episodes aired, due to poor ratings (and less than favorable reviews). It was a recurring role as lesbian Alex Kelly on the hit series The O.C. that first gained Wilde viewer attention.
Roles in films quickly followed, in features such as The Girl Next Door (2004), Alpha Dog (2006), Turistas (2006) and Year One (2009). For her role in the small budget indie film Bickford Schmeckler's Cool Ideas (2006), she won Best Actress at the Aspen Film Festival. Wilde also appeared in the futuristic thriller Tron: Legacy (2010), directed by Joseph Kosinski and Cowboys & Aliens (2011), opposite Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig.
She continues to act on television as well, having played regular roles in NBC's The Black Donnellys and on the hit medical drama House.
On stage, Wilde starred in Epic Theatre Center's Off-Broadway production of Beauty on the Vine.
Born in New York City, Wilde, who is a vegan, recently split from her husband of eight years, Tao Ruspoli.
