Walt Becker Biography

WALTER BECKER

Date of Birth: September 16, 1968

Accomplished director, screenwriter, producer and best-selling author, American born Walt Becker graduated from UCLA with a degree in communications before venturing off to USC School of Cinema-Television to earn a Master's degree.

Becker has had a number of published novels including Link, which spent four weeks on the L.A. Times’ bestseller list, and Misconception. He wrote a number of screenplays, which were shelved by various studios, before submitting Buying the Cow (2001), which did find its way to the big screen and saw Becker make his directing debut. Becker then followed up his debut with the comedy, Van Wilder (2002).

In television, Becker has served as an executive producer for the children's series, Hugo's Hideaway.
