Juliet Lowe (Sydney Sweeney) is congratulated on being accepted into Juilliard, but Juliet clarifies that it's her sister Vivian (Madison Iseman) who got in and is going to the prestigious school next year. While they're both studying at an elite arts academy, a fellow student, Moira, commits suicide. So the academy reruns the competition in her memory. Juliet steals Moira's theory book and feels that the book is talking to her and taking control of her.
