i really enjoyed this movie:)
An entertaining, insightful, optimistic movie about the forces that drive us. I found this movie enjoyable and was expecting to be disappointed. I was so impressed with the quality of the effects and the power of the message that I was taken aback. Though the science is junk (mutating neutrinos), the whole concept is a movie trying to come to grips with our decaying world and some of the hard choices we'll have to make. 5 Stars.
As good as 2001 and even better than 2010!

took a really neat story line and turned it into a "hollywood satire". disappointing!
A very entertaining movie. Those who criticize the theme as being not believable forget that this is science fiction. Is blowing up a planet with energy beam from a space station as in Star Wars more believable? I do agree that there are too many narrow escapes and impossible situations like the kid being under water for so long. Those situations should be realistic even in a sci-fi movie. The storyline could also be tighter. But overall, it is an enjoyable movie
Pretty good action! Long movie, but didn't feel that way at all!
Disappointing...they only mention the Mayan calendar in passing...movie was too long...acting is bad...the numerous escape scenes are bloody ridiculous...I liked the Day After Tomorrow but I wished I had just stayed home and watched that movie again...this was just like "part 2" but with worse actors and more preposterous scenarios...best scenes are in the trailer

At the screening, there was a group of tweens going on and on about how this was all really going to happen. I could only sigh and think to myself "how a civilization can predict the end of the world in 2012, but fail to see the end of their own civilization in the mid 900s" it's laughable. I weep for the future. 2 stars.
