If you're going to see it for the acting, you will be a tad dissapointed. However, if you're going to see it because of the action and the special effects, you're money was well spent. I went to see for the special effects and for that, I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!! 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!

Was waiting a long time to go see this movie because of the early trailers. So not that good. But you can't say it's not a good movie - what's gone into it and what it shows - it's good. It's just that last star. The indefinable something that hangs between knowledge and emotion. It's not smart enough. The Camios are all amazing though. I didn't feel ripped off. It was pretty good and exciting. Not a big thinker. Nothing of a revelation. Go see it though.

Good but not great. I though Oliver Platt probably was the strongest actor that came through. The ending was so far fatch that it took away from the movie. The effects were very good.

Despite the predictable Hollywood plot (yes all Hollywood movies end the same way, I cant believe pple still complain about it) the movie was filled with the coolest effects and was really well made. In movies such as these, you cant really have too much of a plot, otherwise it would never end. I went to see it for all the action and computer work and I wasnt dissapointed. I would reccomed it to everyone.

This movie was a waste of 11 dollars. Who would pay to see this, I mean reeally if they predict this then the people should be taking precautions but they are not, and if they predicted the 911 then they should have been taking precautions before to prevent that.

The fact that such an utterly dreadful and imbecile movie can be even considered as entertainment is a testament to how much our society, on a whole, has dumbed down. The movie is essentially aimed for Generation X-Box with cut-and-paste of arcade graphics of explosions peppered with interludes of 'acting' of the most shallow and mundane kind. The end is near, alright: the end of intelligence and good taste. Forget the tsunamis and volcanoes, uh, we be watching big bang-bang and big boom-boom, duh, ya that be it.

Wow. Not just a weak movie, but it tries so hard to be an epic that it becomes laughable. So much cheese, such weak writing, not even the impressive special effects could save it. And it's long: at least when Ed Wood made a terrible movie, it was fun and short. This movie actually takes itself so seriously that it's WAY too long! If you really liked Armageddon, you might like this. If you didn't like Armageddon, avoid this American-tunnel-vision drivel.

Its basically 5 chase scenes with lava, fire, fissures, earthquakes, explosions as the chaser. Car, plane, RV, plane, boat as the chasee. Doesn't get any simpler. Great effects though! 4 stars for effects, 0 for plot. -1 for dialogue.

this should be a minus 5 stars. Absolutely ridiculous dialogue and plot, laughable most of the time. Anybody with half a brain will walk out on his one as I did with 10 minutes left. So stoopid!

Great show! I had been debating about going considering the story line... It was very well done, I felt like I was part of the movie the whole time. Special effects were so real, I had tears in my eyes from fear! Left me wondering...what if... Excellent wake-up movie for humanity!

everyone on earth dies except cusack and his irritating family.. if you work for huggies, you'll love this movie cause they make reference to huggies diapers like 5 times. (just to give you an idea of what type of writing is in the story)... there. saved ya paying 10 bucks to sleep in an uncomfortable chair surrounded by idiot teens texting the entire time.

Entertaining! You go the the theater to be entertained and that's exactly what this movie does. Doesn't matter if is unrealistic, it's a movie, not a documentary - remember that.

Excellent movie. The special effects are very good, with an excellent cast. Lots of action, with some very controversial natural disasters. If you want to see this movie to get more info into 2012 theory you best not go see. This is a movie for those who like action and special effects,mixed with raw emotion. There are funny parts, which is good. The movie is about 3 hours long so, judge the time when going to see.

Remember when Star Wars came out? An edge of your seat thriller with totally cool effects and a story that real held you. This is the modern day comparison for sure. I am not sure that you could say it was realistic but neither were they. It was a mulit-faceted love story and sci-fi accomplishment all in one. If you liked movies like Matrix, Star Wars, or the Day after tomorrow you will love this!!! Will buy it for sure!

Great movie! I totally enjoyed it. I never see movies twice but I would seriously consider making an exception for this one. It took me by surprise because of the trailers. I was expecting it to be a totally "escape at the last minute throughout" movie but it wasn't at all. I noticed that every couple leaving the theatre was holding hands! Take your girl to see this movie!!!

At times the story gets a little far fetched, but you knew it would before hand. This is a movie that is concentrating on massive special effects depicting the whole world getting pulverized. Well worth the the ticket to see it on the big screen!

this movie was the worst movie i've ever seen. i cant believe that they made this out to be something great!!! they poke funny comments here and there.. to make people laugh. but all you see is people dieing.. and nothings funny about that. all i have to say.. " NO more PUll UPS" thats the last line said. wow!! DONT waste your time.
