Amazing special effects. Naive and idealistic storyline with no bearing on reality, however. 3 stars. The movie was not as bad as the movie critics made it out to be. I expected a disaster of a movie like "The Box". 2012 was actually a decent movie, not great and certainly not crap.
DF wow awsome movie i hope this is not real loved the movie i was lucky to get ggood seats because it looks so real awsome movie better that the day after tommorow and the day the earth stood still awsome movie it should be nomaitede for oscars and it should win the oscars painfull experience for almost 3 hours. brrr Entertaining! You go the the theater to be entertained and that's exactly what this movie does. Doesn't matter if is unrealistic, it's a movie, not a documentary - remember that. Excellent movie. The special effects are very good, with an excellent cast. Lots of action, with some very controversial natural disasters. If you want to see this movie to get more info into 2012 theory you best not go see. This is a movie for those who like action and special effects,mixed with raw emotion. There are funny parts, which is good. The movie is about 3 hours long so, judge the time when going to see. Remember when Star Wars came out? An edge of your seat thriller with totally cool effects and a story that real held you. This is the modern day comparison for sure. I am not sure that you could say it was realistic but neither were they. It was a mulit-faceted love story and sci-fi accomplishment all in one. If you liked movies like Matrix, Star Wars, or the Day after tomorrow you will love this!!! Will buy it for sure! Great movie! I totally enjoyed it. I never see movies twice but I would seriously consider making an exception for this one. It took me by surprise because of the trailers. I was expecting it to be a totally "escape at the last minute throughout" movie but it wasn't at all. I noticed that every couple leaving the theatre was holding hands! Take your girl to see this movie!!! Super cheesy and not even remotely believable, wait to rent it |
