Im throwing in my 2 cents on this idea that 300 is racist...please go and google the battle of thermopalae, or sparta, or leonidas, or spartans, and when u raad about the ACTUAL battle that occured, you will realize that the Persians invaded the Greeks...this really did happen...two races of people coming together in a struggle for dominance...What is racist about retelling that story?? Come on people. STOP IT. Has Eminem EVER won a BET Award?? I thought not. Hmmm.
I was lucky enough to see it at an advanced screening before the wide release date in Toronto on IMAX.....u cant miss the opportunity to see this movie on a big screen...dont wait for this to come out on DVD!! One of the most visual amazing pictures to come out since LOTR or Matrix...a ground breaker for sure!!

I did`t like Sin City, at all. But this movie is a work of art. Incredible visuals and cinematography. Great adaptation from the graphic novel. Ans a great story about standing up for what you believe in. 5 Stars
The director had better done some research on at least how people in the other side of the world looked like then! He was so into politics and trying to picture Persians as evil and Spartans as good that he didn`t get the time to pay attention to anything else...blood, madness and glory what bunch of wild teenagers are after is called 300...
I highly recomend this movie. The power of the GREEK SPARTANS are awesome. Based on a true story. The movies TROY & Alexander should have been made in the style of the 300 movie.
Take this movie for what it is: A visual feast, but not much else.
