How do give this movie a one star, theres nothing else like it sure it`s a re make of the same story but filmed with a whole new perspective this was one outstanding movie and for anyone of age i highly recomend going to it. It is one i will see at least two times in theatres.
This movie was really awesome! As far as I could tell it was historically accurate. The film really did justice to Sparta! They could not have cast a better actor for the role of King Leonidas. He was a tough but loveable character in true Spartan nature. Also, I have to give a two thumbs up to `Grand Robert` who played the role of the giant Persian soldier. It`s amazing that a small town boy from Kent County, NB (Eastern Canada for those who couldn`t locate NB on a map) could make it onto the big screen in such a great movie. The movie was a bit gory of course, but nothing less could be expected of a movie that focusses on a Spartan/Persian
This movie just screams "manliness", comparable to such great works as Braveheart and Ong-Bak. The plot works in such a way that each talking segment only serves to move the movie along unto the next fight scene (in one scene one person killed 16 soldiers in about 20 seconds). Yes, it`s a guy movie and yes, if you don`t like gore & nudity then it isn`t for you, but what the movie does right...it REALLY does right.
