This movie was wonderful i really and truly enjoyed it . It made me sit at the edge of my seat the whole time . It really had you on the side of the heros!

Fun movie! I felt like I was watching aliens fighting each other on another planet. Very stylish cinematography. I have to admit that those well-defined abs figured prominantly in the movie and were rather distracting- but sexy too! Also the Darth Vader-like voice over of an over-accessorized Xerxes reminded me of- guess who? Well back to planet earth... may the force be with you... er... Spata!! (in a rogued and lisping scottish accent)
Some surprisingly good acting and very impressive scenes. Suspect this version of history took place in a parallel universe as it does not appear to come even close to even the most speculative historical legends.
Beautifully executed! 300 has grossed 194 million just domestically to date and has beat Gladiator(189 million)in sales...Gladiator had an amazing storyline however, their are so many movies about the Romans...finally the Spartans got their chance to SHINE! OHHHHHH boy did they shine! "Go tell a Spaaahtan passerby, that here by Spaaahtan law we lie!" Read up on many historical facts of the movie at wikipedia dot org and type in the battle of thermopylae. You will be amazed that the movie is 80% historically accurate, it`s just the visualization that is very fantasy/Lord of the Rings style.
Story: 5/10, acting: 5/10, special effect: 7/10, overall: 5.5/10. Just passed .....
