Great performances all round (though Hawke was out of his depth with the talent around him), an a plot that started well but kind of, well, lost the plot. A study in gloom and with no redeeming characters - don't expect to come out of the theater feeling that your life has been enhanced.

It has a very dark feel overall...reminds me of "In the Bedroom" (not because of Tomei) somewhat only alot darker with some nice twists...acting is superb from everyone...PSH is as good as he gets in any film...Ethan Hawke probably his best role for me yet...Albert Finney rock solid and MT...excellent....as good as any role she has done
