I might`ve handled it better if I had been warned how gory and horrible it was. I found it incredibly upsetting at first and then it just got worse and worse and worse.... I never did watch to the end. For this, I get called unpatriotic, though in truth I saw the soldier`s humanity all too well, which is what made it so painful to watch. In the end, I felt it was a movie for those who need extreme content to feel anything. Some of us have a sensitivity that others can`t even imagine, and those like us should not watch this movie.... at least not without a lot of preparation on our part beforehand.
an incredible story of an incredible being. the best performance by tom cruise ive ever seen, no other role has ever matched it. wonderful film with a bold message. a must-see!
