good movie - Maggie a bit young for Jeff but we all know young women like older musicians
Well-acted movie. Jeff's love interest way too young. Movie was too-too long.
Great movie! Nice subtle story about an aging alcoholic musician trying to get back on the right track. I'd buy the DVD for sure if they bothered to put any decent features. Hopefully a special edition comes out later. Anyway, 5 stars, 2 thumbs up!
Jeff Bridge's superb acting is worth the price of admission alone. He totally lays it all on the line. No doubt about Oscar worthiness here.Anyone who pans this movie is very likely an adolescent. Some story lines require a mature audience and this is one of those for sure. Signed................GWH.

Bad movie, Maggie G walks around like olive oil with her chest indented..meanwhile the sad/unenetertaining flick touches on the same thing taht every one of these honky movies touches on..booze..women..and over coming it all ...This movies not even renatal material.
Excellent acting.....decent storey line...but ya gotta love country to appreciate the film
