DEFIANCE............Just like the beginning of my comments it started off a bit slow,but it turned into a great movie. Passionate, Action filled and great acting all combined in this 4 star movie. Daniel Craig is a rising star. Its a really good movie. Some scenes are hard to watch, specially the begging. However, my heartbeat was going extremely fast as I was trying to make sense that the movie is based on a true story. The acting is brilliant, by far Daniel Craig's best performance. A true story with the potential be a dramatic and emotional movie complete with great action, however this IS NOT the case. With the exception of a good start, it devolves into a poorly directed and hard to believe, too long spectacle with an overly dramatic, hollywood-B ending action scene. What a shame as it had such potential and in the hands of say, Steven Spielberg it would have been a success.
signed------GWH Daniel Craig deserves top billing but the buzz is about Jamie Bell's performance as Best Supporting Actor - he was a revelation. Powerfully moving story, powerful performances, this is why they invented cinema. An amazing movie! Worth seeing! best movie of 09 so far. really good!!! |
