several holes in the plot, but good eye-candy, guilty pleasure. The worst remake in the history of films-to the 36.8 percent that liked it......well you will most likely like the next ROCKY too! Is CRAP CRAP CRAP a profanity? Possibly the worst movie ever made. The casting is horrible, the dialogue is awful, Mann focused more on the love story than anything else. This movie is is the only movie that a heroin addict would stop watching. It`s THAT slow. I like Michael Mann`s movies, but this was just terrible. I left the theatre wondering how they got away putting this garbage in the thater. Thanks, but I`ll stick with Clerks 2 this summer. Slow moving, choppy, bad editing, no chemestry This was a waste of time and money. I basically slept though the movie there where more hot and erotic seen in this movie than action. If i wanted hot and erotic i wouldnt be at the theatres. As Cop movie i find it pathetic with no action until the end and the plot was a stupid drug plot that lead no way Good guys win and Bad Guys lose you should watch it on TV why on earth would anyone pay more than $2 to see this beats me. You know cool just doesn`t cut it now adays, Michael Mann knows cool unfortunately he forgot substance I enjoyed this flic although like many movies today, I find them too long. If it was shortened by about 15 minutes the movie would move much better. It has a great look, some nice toys and is quite violent. Very gritty. Go see it. Needed more character development and plot twists the film as a `miami vice` does not stand for one reason; it is nothing like the campy 80`s series, it is much more darker and brutal (which is not such a bad thing). on the other hand the film is slow in pacing, much similar to the series; the film evolves more around the characters and hardly packs in action (again, much like the series). the reason why i enjoyed the series more with the slow pacing is that an episode was an hour long and not over 2 hours like the film. honestly, i was expecting much more action the most of the movie is just sonny and ricardo waving their guns around in the air and not using them. while the series was limit |
