It was unecessarily gory, had an intricate plot line, and seemed completly unbelievable. It`s not one of those movies you see based on its believabilty, but some of the stunts were ridiculous, I laughed out-loud at one point. If you like fast-paced highly implausible stunts and a few jokes here and there while viewing gun shots to the head and bloody eye sockets, see this.

i think not everybody will understand this movie, but for those who have the mexican sense of humor is great, the plot is really confusing but it is a COMEDY! who cares if makes sense or not!!!, so, if you are in a silly mood and want to have a good time go and see this movie, any movie that can make you laugh is worth it

The plot was VERY weak. Also, Salma Hayek should not have been advertised as a main character!

I didn`t hate it...but I didn`t love it either. There are movies I go to the theaters for and those that wait to come out on video. I would wait to see this one on video. Depp was the best part.

Oooooh...save your money!! They used some of the characters that died from the first movie in this one. I`ve seen better action at a Tim Horton`s drive through!!

Horrible.......Desperado was great and for a low budget film El Mariach was amazing as well.....To put out garbage like this, I don`t know what Robert Rodriguez was thinking....It was interesting until about the half way point and then seemed to go down hill from there...Johnny Depp`s character was fantastic, but that didn`t make up for the rest of the movie....

Not very good. The first 2 in the series were a lot better than this one. Plot made no sense at all. Only bright point was Johnny Depp. He seems to be great in any film.

The plot was really confusing. Going back and forth throughout the movie. Desperado was way better than this. I thought Johnny Depp was the only bright spot in this confusing film.

I thought it was Robert Rodriguez thru and thru. Great flick, most people understanding of a Rodriguez film will stop to think of the movies non-stop action and imagery that takes the viewer into a world of action and imagery, together with love, betrayal and survival that is Once Upon A Time in Mexico. Muy bien patron!!!

Another movie with a hyped up trailer but to some a disappointment. it just depends on how you perceive movies. If you like action and johnny depp, go see this movie. If you are in it to see salma hayek, dont waste your money. Overall, to my opinion, it was pretty good. could`ve been better.

I never write comments, but I am forced to write that this movie doesn`t even worth to look at it`s poster !!! How come bunch of bad guys always miss their targets in gunshooting (even if they are millitary) and Hero (who sucks) always kill bad guys ????????????? I just can`t digest that. The best suited name for this movie is "crap"

This just plain wasn`t a good film! I expected more, but I found myself extremely annoyed several times during the show. If I wasn`t there with good friends then I would have got up and left. I certainly don`t recomend this movie.

Lose Selma Hyak and Antonio Banderas and you might have a good movie, but those two...uggh....it`s like keanu reeves in the matrix. Hey hollywood, two wrongs don`t make a right!!!

Could have been made into a great movie, but for some reason it was really not that good. The plot did not focus on the important parts, and was very `commercial` and lots of the effects looked fake. Johnny was funny, looked hot and so did Antonio. The ending was nice.

I took the time the write this to you. Please save your hard-earned dollars and buy yourself 100 bubble gums instead of supporting the worst movie directors in the history of mankind. I looked at my watch a few times during the movie, wondering when would the torture end. No plot, or understandable one, no character development and no depth.

Starts off fairly slow, but picks up mid-way straight into action. The camera seemed too real at times and there is more gore than you expect.

This was absaloulty the best movie in years. Depp stole every single scene he was in, he`s so bad that it makes him more likeable. Dafoe was barely in the movie though and his talent should have been used more. Overall amazing movie all the gunfights and jokes alone are a reason to see it.... A MUST SEE!!!!

It was an ok flick. Lots of senseless shooting and fun but it was confusing storyline wise and poorly written but hey, it was a shoot em up. Depp played his role awesome as always. It`s worth a rental.

over all it was fantastically great!!! a bit disappointed that there was less antonio banderas stuff (like in desperado). johnny depp sort of stole the movie, like antonio banderas` attitude in desperado was moved to johnny depp. too little screen time for salma hayek. movie was shot very nicely. i think that there was too many things going on in the plot which put a little downside to it. the movie was really good, but it could have been better. a little touch of tarantino would have made it better. rodriquez and tarantino should work together on more movies. viva el mariachi!!!
