Love this series...I love the gore horro movies, but paranormal movies are the best!
i liked it better than the first and WAY more than the second one. this one made me jump and creeped me out. it had me looking around my entire house afterward and made me feel the need to leave all the lights on all night.
Amazing movie..had me at the edge of my seat the whole time!!! deffinatly recommended to all of my friends. Atleast the ones who like scarey movies
Great Movie - ending wasnt as scary as i thought it was going to be.
Good movie, lots of scary bits, better than number 2 but nowhere near as good as number 1. It tied some things together but clearly are planning to do more sequels and it's starting to get little cheesy with the grandma's weird cult. Toby is freaking scary!
I jumped at least 5 times when watching this movie. It definitely creeped me out. This was the first of this series I've seen. I'll be renting the other two now.
I liked the first one the best as the unknowing and eerie things that were happening was the best parts..this one is lacking, same with #2,I kept looking for what drew me in on number one..this was did not have the same effect..
Eerily compelling, this three-quel that's actually a prequel generates some true frights. What I liked best is the reference to a narrative that could keep the franchise going for years to come.
Excellent movie! Kept you on your feet! Loved it, watched all paranormal activities and find there just getting better, always keeps you guessing and wondering what is happeneing next.
"This was probably one of the best horror movies I have seen in a long time. It brought back the realistic nature of a ghost haunting without the need of excessive blood and gore. Definitely worth seeing in theaters."
The first one was better I find, it seemed more real and I guess because it was the first one coming out, however, the second and third I find were a little over done and seemed more fake.
great movie
The movie had an overall okay plot, and i am a huge fan of the first and second, but i felt the only reason this movie was scary was because of the loud noises. The first movie did not have to use loud abrupt noises in order to accomplish its goal, Which is why it was so scary but the only part that i actually felt was legitimately scary about this movie was the part when the gentlmen opens a door to find a swarm of cult-ish women. Overall plot was okay and it was an aright movie but i like my scary movies to linger fear into me after i leave the theater. Not just make me jump occasionally because of the loud noises it produces
This movie was incredibly well done. I love scary movies and most modern ones are hokey and hollywood. This one was not! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, and spent a good portion of the movie watching it from behind my hands! I would recommend seeing it in theatres.
Scared the daylights out of everyone!
Iam floored how these writers can make it so real !!!!
Talk about milking a franchise for all it is worth.Lack of originality, of course,is the order of the day!Was this insipid fright flick really required?
Scary movie indeed, great for Halloween!
a good flick if your looking to get your heartrate up...the constant waiting for something to jump into the camera shot was nerve-racking!
Very scary, too much for some!
Much better than the first and second installments. They did a much better job at keeping the scare real.
This movie was a huge disappointment. The first 2 movies had me afraid to be home alone afterwards. There were a couple freaky parts but nothing compared to the first 2. I was also disappointed with how much they didn't show in the movie that was in the trailer. The scariest parts from the trailer weren't even in the actual movie! A HUGE waste of money to see in theater. Don't waste your time on this one. The ending was terrible as well.
Fraudulent advertising!!! None of the scenes in the trailer are part of the theatrical release. Done on purpose so we will have to purchase the DVD to see the full movie. Save your money.
Almost reminded me of Blair Witch! Good laughs also
If you've seen 1 or 2 don't waste your money on a 3.
Fraud! The scenes in the trailer is what sold me on this 3rd installment, as I was disappointed with PA2. Problem is that none of the "scary" scenes actually appear in the movie! Totally lame! Any future PA's will be strictly of the Blue Ray kind!
SCARY! So well done!
I hope they do another movie.. This time, someone can find the tapes and play them.. Then maybe the trailer from Paranormal 3 might be on it..
AWESOME!!!! better than 1st and 2nd!
Great movie, better than the first two!!
genuinely scary. makes you look over your shoulder when you're home.
creepy. missed the water part from the trailer but was worth going to watch it
I feel like this is dragging on... yes there are some parts that freak you out but it takes too long to get to the exciting parts. I didn't really like the 3rd one or the 2nd one. The first one has my vote.
Amazing, and Scary!
Scary as hell! Won't be sleeping with lights off!
This was the biggest rip off waste of time I have ever spent good money on. It is unbelievably bad. I came close to asking for my money back. Burn your ticket money and use the 85 minutes you just gained for sitting at Tim Hortin's and drinking coffee. You'll thank me later. Trust me.
Well, box office numbers say it all and apparently people like ghost stories at halloween! Who would of thought. Not only does paranormal activity 3 deliver the spooks and scares that its predecessors does, but it surpasses it with the addition of little kids which obviously makes any scarey movie even creepier... Exorcist, Children of the Corn, Childs Play... My point hopefully proven. Not only will this film keep you up at night on or around halloween, but even when the halloween season passes, when you hear the creaks in the walls, or the wind against the windows, this movie will definetly come back to mind. Go see this movie, or you may just have a halloween visitor you cant get rid of L
The movie stays true to its original concept. Same type of suspense. The added element of kids does make it slightly scarier. I thought that it was a bit short.
dumb scary... un-scary... hardly scary... blah... the parts that made one jump were strictly surprise-alarm types and harmless... hardly a horror movie... tame-tame-tame... yes, there are casualties, big deal (the scariest parts were watching the horror trailers to an upcoming unrelated movie altogether..., now THAT creeped the audience out... otherwise, most folks were laughing throughout the movie itself (from all the 'oh, no, here it comes... hey, nothing happens...) they must have had a big budget on fine strings to do all the 'pulling effects' duh... (watching 'video' style movies makes me nauseated from all the lousy camera work) :P
Not all that frightening unless you're a girl.
Best one yet!
The best one yet so good!!!!!
These guys have done it again...scary movies are HARD to do well...and they did it!
Very scary! If you're 12.
Disappointed. Over half the trailer was not even in the movie....
Very scary and has a good storyline if people actually understands it. It's definitely linked with the first 2. I really enjoyed it. Can't wait for a 4th one!!
It's quite desceiving.. So different than the trailers.. There is no exorcist, and the water spill on the angery ghost, the famous scene bloody mary of the two girls and the flying mother n the bed room.. Everything in the trailer is not shown..
Another success from this franchise. Story wise, the plot attempts to add to the mythology of the first two films, but it kinda makes this film out of sync with the other two, even tho its a prequel. But the scares is where this movie continues to excel. The last half had me holding my breath and feeling uncomfortable with sweaty palms. A Perfect movie to see during Halloween.
Scary as hell
The best horror film I’ve ever seen. No unnecessary gore, just lots of jump-out-at-you scares.
