Strong performances by William Devoe and Lou Yan. Cultural differences underscore this well-made film. Praise to Lou Yan who wrote and played the lead female role. Thoroughly enjoyed this picture of pre-World War II China and its accurate depiction of two very different cultures; particularly, relationships between men and women.
