the blood bath at the end was ok, but the rest of the movie was really kind of lame.. the 3d was forced and tacky .. floating penis, really? the 2 playmates swimming naked was cool, but that scene didn't need to be 12 minutes long. 2 stars.. plus 1 for Elizabeth Shue still being a babe

Never seen so many naked people on the big screen. Was a funny movie at times. Wasn't that scary.

This Movie knows what it is and doesn't try to be anything more. It's a summer horror Flick that's filled with tits and gore. However the plot is very predictable.

"Very dissapointing. The movie was about boobs, butts and a few killer fish thrown in." Well... Duh !! What did you think this was going to be. It's a great remake of a schlocky gore fest from back before special effects and silicone boobs. This is entertainment at it's best. Little or no script, gratuitous nudity and gore gore gore !!! And... as et up for the sequel. If you're expecting a story line and academy award nominations then you've wandered into the wrong theater. Don't penalize the movie because you missed the point.

The plot line was predictable, the acting poor except for Elizabeth Shue who was actually really good. I hadn't seen her in anything lately. There was a lot of nudity in it for no actual reason and the part where the fish spat out the penis was purely overkill and sensationalism. They tried to create a story line with a bunch of scantily clad teens in the background. We get it, it's spring break but they didn't have to hit us over the head with it.

Boring movie, crappy acting, LOTS of Blood but no scare factor, just stupid. No all-star cast. The most noticeable guys are from Sliders that used to play on SPACE in the mid-90's & the old guy from Back to the Future & a couple of adult film actors. Pros-lots of porn stars being eaten buy ferocious ancient piranha and 3d boobies! Soundtrack was pretty sick. Overall not worth seeing in theatres. You would have a better time seeing Cats & Dogs 2 in 3D.

Entertaining and lively characters and was cool to see Richard Dreyfus and Jerry O'Connell...was light, bit gory but had unique spin....reminded us of the picture viewer when was kid...due to the 3D effect.

Awesome summer fun flick! Tons of boobs, blood and a great time at the movies. 3D was fun but this would hold up just fine in 2D.

Should of went with my gut instinct and picked something else to watch. Borderline soft porn flick with sub standard acting. Lots of blood and gratutious nudity. Great for the 18 year olds (or younger sneaking in) looking for some eye candy. Adults...see something else or at least same some money and rent it. Not worth the price at the theatre.

one has to walk into this movie expecting it will be a self proclaimed B movie. I'm always surprised when people dislike it, in that, this is a film constantly making fun of itself. If you've seen bad 80's horror flicks and enjoy them for the laugh factor, so did it's filmmakers. No one making a serious movie casts Jerry O'Connell, and the opening scene with Richard Dreyfuss is right out of the 70's, especially Jaws. This movie is a lot of fun.

Was there much 3-D/Real-D in this movie? It felt like only a few parts were, I felt ripped off by my ticket price. The movie was short, had a few okay moments...but then just ended randomly when it felt unfinished.

Bad, really bad!!! Terrible acting, ridiculous plot. I understand this is supposed to be a spoof but even at that it fails miserably. Awesome cheese flick! Perfect way to close out the summer! For those that think it's dumb, you didn't get it. It's amusing that people go to see something called "Piranha 3D" and are expecting high art.

This movie was completely disgusting. I guess that was the point though. There was lots of gore and lots of boobs if that is your thing. This movie was supercheesy, had bad dialogue and was completely predictable. But I guess you can't expect too much from it. There weren't a lot of 3D parts either. There was a giant plothole where they don't even show you what happened to a main character, the camera man. Did he die? Who knows? Overall though this movie was so bad it was good.

The fake 3D effects is definitely an after thought just to hop on the 3D band wagon. Story line is non-existence, so is the acting.
