pretty darn good movie. the visuals and story line are great. the only thing that got to me was how stupid the people are. they're always making the wrong decision at the right time.
did any of you people that rated this movie lower than a 4, actually see the first alien movie. awsome, ridley scott you are amazing! keep doing what you do because know one dose it better.
much better than i expected after reading the critics. i thought the plot, character development and dialogue were well done and complex enough to be unexpected. the 3d enhances the experience of this movie. great to watch a movie that lived up to the visuals.
i'm not particularly a sci-fi buff but i truely loved this movie. i was captivated by the imagery, characters and story lines. a must see especially in imax 3d.
visually stunning but almost void of a story line. charleze theron really wasn't needed. so obviously fishing for a sequel. hopefully the next one is a little more intellegent
woops, commented on non-3d thread by mistake.
basically covers background scenario of alien(s) series that explains 'unknown' alien astronaut relic in more detail.
yes, looks rigged for sequels, but can stand alone (similar to 'hanging mid-story' star wars v). i wasn't bored. (if you are in space, you face identical 'stranded/escape' scenarios, so don't whine about it used again) still interesting, familiar mystery-richman/corporate interest agenda, maintains consistency w/ alien(s)tech-wise (decapitated robot for new-gen viewers). visually stunning in imax 3d dlp, enjoyed it knowing plenty unscientific holes in faraway-aliens-as-human-progenitors themes like prometheus.
boring as heck, no story just contrived plotlines to set up a sequel and a prequel.
don't believe anything you hear from know-nothing critics because this movie is better than most "alien" movies including "alien vs. predator" which i happened to love.
amazing visuals and great story. already waiting on the sequel!
this movie is awesome!!! go and see it!
