A great movie ****... you either loved it or hated it. Don`t go to the movie expecting it to be typical blockbuster movie. It`s underlying message is the important aspect that M. Night Shyamalan was trying to feature. Those that didn`t notice that, missed out on the movie as some of the negative comments in here reflect. And yes, as in all of Shyamalan`s movies, he makes a cameo appearance.

THIS WAS AN AWESOME MOVIE. EVEN SCARIER IF YOU HAVE AN IMAGINATION. IT HAD ME ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT, LAUGHING, AND ALMOST IN TEARS. AMAZING THAT ONE MOVIE CAN CARRY THAT LOAD.

well, i thought personally along with all my friends, that this movie was most definetly one of the best! they mixed scary with suspensfull with comic genius and i thought they did an excelent job, very great im my opinion!!!

I thought the movie was absolutely fantastic and had every element that made it a great movie. BUT....then came the ending, which completley sucked and totally ruined the entire movie. I was extremely disappointed with the ending and hope that the DVD comes with alternate endings so that I can be satisfied.

I was disapointed with this movie, it was a little too farfetched. I didn`t think they needed the parts talking about the mom and the whole family, they should hve focused more on the signs and aliens itself. The movie was okay, as it was entertaining, and had a little bit of everything, like humour and fright scenes. i would rcommend people to rent it instead of watching it in the theatres.

its not what you see its what you don`t see that sends prehistoric chills down your spine and vertabrae. I fell in love with the entire foggy atmosphere that made this indulging and overglowing with potential movie a hit.

profoundly moving and gut-wrenchingly scary though it tried to hard to be a smart horror movie by leaving uneeded forshadowing and subplots that if left unresolved would have made the movie more disturbingly ferociously and hyperactively scary

This movie answer`s so many questions that people think about. It shows the thinks that might or might not happen in the future. I think that it shows what people`s beliefs and it really makes you think. As in one of the other comments is "what if" this would actually happen or is there really something out there. I rate this movie 5 stars, this is an amazing movie. I recommend this movie for people to go see.

One of the best movies I have seen...some of the scariest parts of the movie was waiting for something to happen. Oh, and obviously Mel Gibson is amazing as always!!!

Am I the only one who thought that the guy who accidentally hit Graham Hess`(Gibson) wife with his car, looked an aweful lot like Mr. M. Night Shyamalan himself? In fact, if I`m not mistaken, it was him And if it is, He`s not a bad actor (on top of being producer, screenwriter, and director).

Signs is mezmerizing on so many levels. The acting. The story telling. The suspense. The Drama. The humour. And what can only be described as the "what if" factor. I love how Shyamalan actually takes time to tell his story`s rather than ust saying "aw forget it", and then just throwing a barage of special effects at you. Mel Gibson was awesome (maybe even better than in Conspiracy Theory), Joaquin Pheonix was excellent and even the kids were great. I don`t know why some people complain about the lulls in the action in this movie (The Sixth Sense was the same way too if they would remember), they are necessary in order for the scare scenes to

dude this movie rocked...its once again all about tha PANJOUD`S ...they did the sweetest job on the scenes.....what i didnt liek is that they did not have any hot girls in it, that was stupid because all scary movies should have them.......but its a good movie over all!

I thought it was a great movie! I laughed, I cried- because I also have a German Sheperd, and I was scared, on the edge f my seat! I will most likley see it agian. Mel is amazing :O)

I thought the movie Signs, was a really great movie. It`s not a typical "scarey" movie. Unless you truly believe aliens are going to come down and stage a "War of the Worlds", it`s not believable. I however, did find parts of the movie scarey, it`s more psychological. I liked how this movie has a message. It`s not a slasher, jump fest (some jumpy parts), which some of the poor reviewers were probably hoping for. But, If you want to be entertained, and have a movie that makes you think, watch this movie. It has it all. If you really want to watch something scarey, watch the News, because that reality is the scariest, it can get.

M. Night Shyamalan`s movies are characterized by a deep plot and very little use of special effects. This movie was just that, and it`s style followed very closely to his previous movies such as sixth sense and unbreakable. Quite frankly I was not very suprised and it was less than I excpected. But the movie is more about the life of Graham Hess (Gibson) and less about aliens. Rather the aliens are a background in a story about this man`s life and the tragedy that he has gone through. I believe that Family is the main theme in this movie. If you like drama and suspense you should see this movie.

I saw the movie this past weekend (Aug. 10) and it was more than I expected. I haven`t seen a movie like this in a long time, it had everything from suspence to humour. Absolutely amazing and well done.
