are you people joking me. That was probably one of the worst movies i`ve seen. Sure it looked cool to see him fighting and doing that crazy stuff but much of the movie didn`t make to much sense and was unlogical. Not a good movie to see.

Superman was great! They chose the right actors for each character. I look for to the follow-up with his son. The part where he banged the guy the the piano was the greatest!!

I thought this movie had awesome special effects and a great storyline. The acting i found a little cheesy at times but didnt take away from the movie.

I think it was awsome, i am 58yrs. old and i want to see it again. He did a great jod as an ACTOR. Hope there will be another one. I always watched superman all my life.

While not quie up to the level of the Spiderman I, II or Batman Begins, it is still probably one of the better comic book adaptations I have seen. Gone is the silliness of the Christopher Reeves Superman movies, but it still retains a light-heart feel. Definitely worth seeing and probably worth buying the DVD when it comes out - I would see it again.

Loved the movie. Great story, with some nice twists along the way. The effects of course were brilliant, but didn`t take away from the movie. Definately a must see!

This was an entirely watchable movie (I gave it a 3)... but nothing more. It lacked the epic feel of the original Superman movie(s) and although it was worth watching, I don`t suspect there will be a sequel.

superman - 5/10 it was rather boring, its not much fun to watch a superhero that has godliness, aka the ability to have any power he wants. its like making a matrix movie where they beat the crap out of ants. and we got it, you cant kill him. the only way to is to simply find a radioactive element only found on the remnents of his destroyed home planet. easy enough. it lead to my expectations to be a typical, predictable superhero movie, and never exceed my expectations. bravo warner brothers, bravo

Excellent movie. I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Superman and Lois. The special effects didn`t live up to X Men but they were OK.

Disappointing at best. Not enough action and way too much time exploring the character of superman. Contrary to what many think, Superman is NOT a complex person. His motivations and ethics have always been very clear. He is a GOOD GUY... and thats about it. Singer should have focused on the eye candy for this film but he didn`t. Could have been so much better. 2 stars out of 5

I honesty do not know why any one liked this movie? I think the producers, directors, and writers need to take a long look at themselves. First of all, the script was terrible. Ok, so superman did not hang around long enough to testify at luthers appeal. Give me a break!!! All bronze no brains hey? In the scene where they were trying to figure out what the numbers meant and there were degrees by it, ha ha, and lois didnt know what lex wanted all that land for hmmmm... and oh yeah it took them long enough to figure out that there was an em pulse %^&*! stupid!! I found the film poorly written, the acting fine and the visuals too dark and dreary. The scenes of drowning and airline disaster were too real and unnerving. In all, I wished for a more fun outing of superman after all this time.

Overall, I really enjoyed the movie. I originally was thinking that they should just cast the actors from Smallville, but I am so glad that they didn`t! I thought Brandon Routh did a great job, he looks alot like Christopher Reeve, but he did try to mimic him, which I thought was a good decision (where did they find him!!). Brandon allows emotions to show through his face and eyes without over acting. I don`t know if I liked Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor...his acting seemed to be the same as in every other movie...and also, they should have cast someone a bit younger/more attractive for Lex...Parker Posey was great...Kate Bosworth was okay, b

I thought that Superman was magnificent. Well worth the wait. It far exceeds in every aspect versus the old Superman movies although for their time they were great. The story was well written and the effect were awsome. The actors were superb and Kevin Spacey made a great Lex Luthor. I give it a top rating and will buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Even though some Movie Critics did not give this Movie the best ratings because on or of how they compared Brandon Routh to the late Christopher Reeve. I still thought that it was a good, and excellent Movie though with lots of good action. I really enjoyed this Movie seeing it on Canada Day, and I thought that Routh did a good Job playing the part of Superman.

The movie was great. The best special effect of superman we`ve seen in a long time, eccept I find the fire from his eyes has better effect in the smallville series. The storyline was dissapointed. The love of Louise lane is ok to have it in the movie but a bit too much of drama, we need to see more action. Lex is an old villain, he can still be part of the movie but you need to add another villain, a monster of some sort of something happening with the power of zord. When clark falls back to earth, maybe you should have seen more talk with her mom, to know more about what happen, how you come back and, picturing things that happen when he was

A big disappointed, all in all. No character development as far as the protagonist is concerned... conflict between Lex and Superman not thought out very well or not fully displayed. Great visual effects and cinematography though. Bryan Singer could have done a better job!!!

I thought it was too much of an attempt to recreate Christopher Reeve, rather than trying to do something fresh with the franchise. PLEASE stop making Lex Luthor a comic villain. He`s supposed to be powerful and scary, not a clown. Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey have both been wasted in bad writing.

I just scene Superman Returns and one of the first things I said was. "I can`t wait to see it again. The story was good, I went in with the expectation of it being a remake. I had forgoten the fact that it was actually 5 yrs later, once I realized my mistake I enjoyed it that much more. Brandon Routh was a perfect choice to play The Man Of Steel. Brandon is very captivating and great eye candy! (Wink)
