I`ve watched this movie several times and am as moved as if I`ve seen it for the first time. The music is absolutely outstanding, and the story moving and funny at the same time. I would love to see the 160 minute version - I can only imagine what those 37 minutes add. This film is definitely underrated by the "experts," but I usually am in disagreement with "them."
This movie has haunted me since I first caught the last three-quarters of it on a movie channel. It became a "must-see" rental. I think it is one of the most underrated movies I have ever seen. The performances of Roth and Vince, the ethereal beauty of Theirry, Tornatore`s masterful direction and Ennio Morricone`s captivating score make this film a true work of art.
