Please rate movie 1 to 5 stars
A smart and funny movie. Excellent acting. An exceptional success at period style and collective cool which far exceeds the original series. Congratulations to Henry Cavill in breaking out of Superman typecast.
The mood of the film is based on a genre of the great James Bond films from the 60's. Not so much groovy baby dialogue but definitely the location shoots and the set designs and photography are part and parcel of the this film. The soundtrack is great. Storyline is not new but the acting is definitely not old. There's no build up of characters, they are simply single layered and so well acted that is a pleasure to watch. Great flick from Guy Ritchie, well done.
Surprisingly good and funny, very well directed.
Great fun, feel, action, music, humour and gorgeous actors. Beautiful cinematography too. Nice to see this idea revived. Must see!
8 OUT OF 10 thought i would rate this first as the stars i think can be confusing when somebody rate a movie, but all around fun type flick with sixties music and fashion and well done by guy ritchie but the typical type like formal, but never the less go see it for your self and you might like it....oh and by the way sweden own Alicia Vikander is super cute in this movie, cheers and have fun watching it on the big screen :) popcorn fun
Great film, loved every aspect of it. I am considering going to see it again. Can't wait until it's available on dvd or on demand, need a second watching sooner rather than later :D
outstanding!
A spy movie with a sense of humour. Fun to watch and well done in my opinion. Im hoping there is another one after this. Well filmed and finely acted.
Totally enjoyed it! Like the nostalgic feel of the movie, lots of action with a bit of humour. Charming actors and pretty actress. No fierce violence and no nudity. What's not to like? May be just the ending is old fashioned - Good guys always win and saved the world.
Got into a welcome roller coaster of emotions & an adventure of surprises, odd humour, flashes of 60's, 70's fashions & really great characters. The Key leads shared the story with their own engaging charm. I feel all gained appeal as the movie gained momentum.
I have NO idea why this movie has been rated as a five star. It was really a serious insult to viewer intelligence - everything about the storyline and the plot was totally stupid - like beyond ridiculous. Two thumbs down for this one. :(
Loved it. I want to see it again. Solid acting and I liked how it is a period piece and was true to form with the television show!
Loved this film. The acting was great. The costuming was great. Guy Ritchie is always great. Great period spy flick.
Wonderful fun with some great action mix with character building humour. Loved it. Hope we get more
So much fun at the movies!! It's a guaranteed great time with an interesting plot and even more compelling characters! Go see it!
Fun time at the movies. Story moved along at a good clip, the chemistry between all the stars was crackling, the dialogue was spiced with wit - what's not to like. Had a great time!
Normally I don't care for Guy Richie movies at all. I had agreed to go to any movie my friend wanted for their birthday and boy am I glad I went. The actors are brilliant and well Guy Richie I take my hat off to you, really really enjoyable. Go see it you will be pleasantly entertained.
A really fun Spy movie! Well done Guy Ritchie and his cadre of actors!
Good movie ! Loved the photography. Good casting and fun story. Looking forward to the next one.
Guy Ritchie really got the essence of the original show. It was witty and had a lot of action. The actors were great in their depictions. I would see it again.
This movie was "cute." I am an original Man From Uncle fan. Honestly I found it boring, was losing interest; it missed the mark. I can't understand the high ratings by others.
Hilarious!!
CLASSIC 60S SPY FLICK
While The Man From U.N.C.L.E. probably isn’t any less of a caricature of its period than "Sherlock Holmes," it carries its fakeness with more snap in its step. The imaginary intrigue it generates is fleeting, but often beautiful.
Loved it! A great 60's period spy film with plenty of action, comedy, hot female stars and explosions! Best film of the year!
I'm a sucker for period pieces, the only reason I ventured to watch it alone. ?? I thoroughly enjoyed it and would watch it again if I had chance.
Best movie this year...!
Don't be fooled by the trailer -- this is little more than two episodes of the old tv series stuck together to make a feature.
A stylish, fun romp through Europe. It's not perfect but it's the most fun I've had in the theater in a long time. If you are a Guy Ritchie fan or a fan of the classic Bond films it's a must see.
If you like James Bond movies or a good Spy movie then Guy Ritchie has you covered. This was a great movie, it made you laugh, think and even shake your head. I enjoyed the fact that it took place in the 1960's as it wasn't all techie like some of the movies are these days. I can't wait to see it again when it comes out on DVD or Pay-per-view!
I really enjoyed this movie. I loved the action scenes, and it had enough humor that the audience was laughing out loud quite a bit. All the acting was top notch from top to bottom. I also loved that even though it was set in the 1960's and caught that vibe really well, it didn't feel cheesy in the least. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is definitely a movie i would recommend.
FANTASTIC! Great script, soundtrack and cinematography. It's a humorous 60s spy thriller that keeps 60's tech, always fun.
Saw a sneak preview and I was impressed. Funny to have an American playing a Russian, a Brit playing a suave American and his American handler is a Brit and it totally worked! The spies were equals but in opposite ways. They both have their flaws and didn't realize they are not omnipotent superspies and they needed each other to survive. A few scenes looked too futuristic and maybe shouldn't have been set in the 60's but al-in-all it was funny and worth watching. You can see Guy Ritchie's style shines through the film. Scenes you think you missed something but he flashes back to show you what happened which everyone missed but made the results plausible.
