Evil lurking in the background was well done. Made me understand that Jesus was humman and had temptations like us and resisted them. He could have saved himself by telling the leaders what they wanted to hear. His disciples denonced him to save their skins and Jesus was martyred for his beliefs. Great film.

I heard it was extremely gory so I went prepared to shut my eyes throughout the whole thing. But little to my knowledge, I ended up watching it wide eyes, only blinking away lots of tears. Mel Gibson, you are truly amazing.. words can not express my gratitude for you doing such an excellent job! Thnk you so much Mel!

Awesome!

It didn`t have enough focus on Jesus raised from the dead and going back to His disciples. Could of shortened the torture by only 5 min and fit this important event within the film. Also, at the very end, it would of been nice to show Jesus rising to heaven.

Somebody had wrote earlier: "Jesus died and suffered for all of us" was not backed up by any story line at all, all we saw was a man being tortured beyond belief with no apparent reason why." Now, if you have read the Gospels, you would know that Jesus was crucfied for us. He died for our sins and for believers. His death was prophecized, that is why the movie opens up with a quote from the book of Isaih. The Bible never gives a clear reason as to why he was killed. One major reason, which seems obvious, is that some feared him. They feared that he was leading the people away. Some scholars have come to argue that people feared Jesus be

I went to watch it on Friday, February 27, 04 and needless to say it was the most painful experience I`ve had to endure while watching a movie. It was so intense I actually felt like i was in the movie myself. It was very graphic, so very real it was almost surreal. The movie was awesome. So amazing. I don`t regret one bit having gone to watch it. At one point when the soldiers were whipping Jesus, I remember thinking and screaming silently when is this torture going to stop. How much more can he take. At that point I was about to walk out cause I just couldn`t take anymore and then it stopped in time just so I could recompose myself but I

wow, this movie has changed the way I look at christians so much! I have learned a lot from this movie.

If you`re a believer or not, see this film as an example of what people endured while being crucified in ancient Rome.

An outstanding piece of work. The professional reviewers who panned The Passion obviously had personal problems with it. Artistically and technically there is little to find fault with this movie. It wasn`t as difficult to witness as I anticipated but I do appreciate being forewarned of the extreme violence. Despite the ferocity of the physical attacks on Jesus they don`t seem as unexpected as the attacks I have heard from liberal media critics on Mel. The only reason I can see for people wanting to destroy Mel and this Movie is the power of the message and the talent of the messenger. You go Mel.

I personally think that..they are doing God`s work and it`s a message to a wake up call for this whole entire world..it`s not only a reminder of god`s love.. it`s also a reminder for people to Repent their sins...So please do not waste Jesus`s blood!..in my heart i believe his blood washes our sins..whenever we ask for forgiveness..Mel gibson was so blessed with god`s glory and i admire his passion for christ..which will strengthen my faith and devoted my entire soul to my only father above.
