The book is so much different from the movie. The movie feels like it needs more details. A kid don't just go from "normal" to "extraordinary" in a matter of days/weeks even though it involves the "Old Ones."

"The Seeker" is that rare blockbuster wherein the spectacle on the screen is matched only by the heart of its winsome characters; it's this generation's "Wizard of Oz."

The movie could have been a lot better. It seemed like it was rushed, and ALOT of important thing were left out or changed from the book. I liked the over all concept of the movie, but it needed more to it. 3 stars.
