Maybe I am biased because I do enjoy the books so much...but I cannot rate it any less for the movie!

I saw it twice. I liked the movie but, disappointed with the ending. Though the movie was 2 hours, kinda a boring and rushed.

Can we please have the old director back....and why fire Victoria? Still loved it but I wish they wouldn't forget who their audience is.

Can we please have the first director back. At least she put chemistry and intensity in. Especially with the music. The first movie's music made you sit on the edge of your seat and gave it that extra intensity and suspense. The new director forgot what the book gave to it's readers and worried too mach about contacts and sci-fi. Still loved it, but it was missing sooo much umph!

I thought that the film was not bad. It did seem rushed, and a tad souless as others put it. Maybe they needed a director with a bit of a softer side. New Moon (novel) explored the dark side of Bella's character, and I felt that Chris wietz did a good job with exploring that area. However, the dialogues between the characters was extremely rushed. The music did not suit the scenes nor the film. in the book where edward tells bella about the Volturi was so descriptive, and you can really feel and see what he was saying (the movie did a horrible job with this) It seemed out of Edward's charater to act the way he did by telling Bella about the Volturi the way he did in the film. I was always tols if you don't have anything nice to say you should keep your mouth shut. Sorry, i just can't this time. Loyal die hard fans have waited a very long time for this release, the continuation of this beloved story. What a disapointment. The director Chris Weitz, obviously didn't care for the film nor the actors. Such talen wasted. The screenplay was ok, however, I found it very difficult to relate to the characters. They seemed to rush through their scenes. Edward's character did not seem to flow very well. Their was no chemistry between Bella and Edward in scenes in quite a few scenes. The Wolf pack intro and development was very poor, seemed like the director cut out

As a parent i thought the movie was very cute depicting what was written in S Meyers books. The acting may not of been the strongest but the chemistry between the actors make you feel as though this story could be a possibility.

This movie was freakin AWESOME!!!!! I was impressed with how they were able to keep to the story even though they changed a few details from how it went in the book. If you saw the movie before reading the book, go read the book. You will love it!

acting, as expected, was laughable and cringe-worthy. bella swan irritated me. all i could hear was her heavy breathing throughout the movie. cheesy moments and horrible ending to top off a horrible movie. could've been much better. hopefully the next director for the next movie redeems the series

Horrible. Terrible acting, cheap effects and poor directing. It's garbage just like the first movie and all the ones that will follow. I'd be incredibly embarrassed to be an actor involved in this.

This was a REALLY good movie. The acting was good but not as good as the first movie. But other than That It was fantastic, there were alot of screams for the shirtless scenes. It left you wanting more. Can't wait till the third movie. LOVED IT!!!!!!!!

As for me I liked the movie alot I do not pay much attention to detail but in this movie I found a fair amount of problems, I was continuesly asking what does that mean or who are they what do they do? There wasn't alot of explination for alot of things, so if u hadn't read the books you would be completly lost! However the visual effects were much much better and the camera angling and camera worrk was great it made the emotion change with slightest of touch but it as ruined by the rushed acting and slight confusion! I plan on seeing the next one but. Hope it's better

This was easily the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. I was embarrassed for the poor actors who were forced to say those pathetic lines. Sickening. I'm so glad this is the example young girls are receiving. I hope every girl with a broken heart becomes insanely reckless and tries spontaneous cliff diving (sarcasm). I do hope that parents have the sense to tell their daughters that Bella's behavior is extremely abnormal. I will admit that the humans were pretty funny, and Bella's dad was great. I'm very much hoping that the fifteen minutes are nearly up for this trash.

I'm 32 and my 14 year old daughter is madly crazed about the whole Twilight Saga, so I went and seen New Moon, and now I'm insanely in love with Edward...loved it!! Special effects were wicked! and it's a sure tear jerker...

The screenplay was good, the direction was bad, and the Actors seemed rushed. There was no real build up until the end, tje very last scene then it went blank. This film did not affect me in the same way Twilight had. The main issue I had with this film was the lack of some good music. I am glad to see that I am not alone in this. And if anyone of importance, aka studio reps and all the rest. PLEASE work on a better score for Eclipse. Twilight won hands down in that category. New Moon was ok, not fantastic. Also, the characters seemed a bit robotic, aside from Taylor. Don't know why, I am totally a 'team Edward' kinda of girl ;) I would recommened this film for the fans who lov

Where to begin? The story seemed rushed, no real connection was felt between the characters. Nice attempt by director chris weitz . However he did not seal the deal. I have to agree with a few/many of the reviewers. The 'score' did not suit the film. In twlig ht, the score added an eerie,mysterious, adventurous tone through the entire film, which added so much'depth' as one reviewer said. You can have an amazing script, fabulous acting, but a souless score? You,ve got yourself a trainwreck. I loved the books and love the first film. New moon? Eh? Not so much. At least we have a new director for Eclipse. Let's see if he can learn from past mist akes.

Amazing! The movie had all the key parts from the book. The acting was a lot better, and the way the vampires moved looked better. I would definitley recommend anyone to see this.

i saw new moon with my 14 year-old daughter, her best friend, my 47 year-old sister and my 41 year-old girlfriend. we loved it!!!!!! while some of the acting was a bit flat ( when edward left bella, she called his name a couple of times and then curled up in a ball on the forest floor. i would have been bawling like a baby!!!) we thought it was great!!1 thank god there was more kissing!!!!! come on guys!!! you're torchered kids in love for crying out loud!!!!! i can't wait for eclipse!!! yeehaw!!!!!

It was okay....all the main players were nice. I don't understand why there is a lot of negative comments for Kristen Stewart....I think she is spot on....

Oh Catherine Harwick, I wished you were the one to direct this film. BOO HOOO. I cant believe how awful it was. I only recommend this to fans who want to see their beloved characters again. the movie was so rushed, and no build up to any of the essential parts of the novel. The love between Edward and Bella was sort of cold, and RUSHED! hopefully another director will sink their teeth into Eclipse

The pace of the movie was all wrong. The actual music (score) was disapointing, and lacked depth. Twilight had a far better score througout (even with their smaller budget) There was no depth to the characters that we learned to love. They all seemed so souless. This director's vision did do the book justice. Such a disapointment.

I like the first movie Twilight better. While New Moon had better effects and was visually more attractive, the dialogues seemed awkward and unemotional. I felt detached from the characters. Why? 1 is because the background music used was AWFUL or even NON-EXISTENT! I think Hardwicke did a better job at getting in touch with the audience.

The movie was good if you are a fan of the books. I thought it was too fast. they jumped from scene to scene without a lot of explanation. I think if you didnt read the books then you wouldnt know that much about the volturi, who they were, and what Jane actually did limiting your ability to appriciate the movie. They also didnt give that much background info on the wolves. It was great for people like me who actually read and love the books because all the main scenes from the book was in the movie but there was no information between scenes it was very fast like they tried to cram lots of info into a short time. Kristen did A HORRIBLE job playing Bella. I do think she looks like Bella but
