SilverCity Yorkdale

The 10-screen multiplex, located at the popular midtown Toronto shopping centre, replaced a six-screen Famous Players cinema that was the first movie house to ever be located at a shopping mall when it opened in 1963. The multiplex, which has more than 3,000 seats, was part of the mall’s expansion that opened in the summer of 1999. Since its opening, it has been one of Toronto’s most popular spots to see the biggest blockbuster films, and now houses two UltraAVX auditoriums as well as seven Real D 3D Screens and a DBOX Screen. Wheelchair accessibility is offered, as are Fidelio described video, Assisted Listening Devices and CaptiView Captioning. Parking is available at Yorkdale Shopping Mall, which includes a food court.
