Scotiabank Theatre St. John's

The largest theatre in Newfoundland and the first to ever offer stadium seating, Scotiabank St. John’s was an Avalon Mall cinema, owned by Famous Players until Empire took it over in the early 1990s. It has since been purchased by Cineplex. The complex ushered in a new wave of big-screen moviegoing into the Maritimes region. This theatre offers six Real D 3D Screens, one IMAX Screen, TimePlay, Stars and Strollers, five Party Rooms and a ScotiaBank ATM. Wheelchair accessibility is offered, as are Fidelio described video, Assisted Listening Devices and CaptiView Captioning. Food inside includes Outtakes Backstage Bistro and Pizza Pizza. Parking is available at the mall.
