Colin Farrell has "tiff" on red carpet

Colin FarrellColin Farrell walked the red carpet on Saturday with his sister Claudine, who's also his assistant, at the Elgin Theatre for the premiere of his movie Triage.  But when a photographer yelled at Claudine to get out of the way so he could get a single shot of the actor, Farrell got hot under the collar, pointing at the photographer, then grabbing him by the back of the neck and saying, "You don't yell at my sister like that." The photographer in question, Joe Alvarez, a freelancer from London, told thestar.com: "He is obviously a live wire; I did not insult his sister. I did not swear at his sister."

Fellow photographer Jorge Rios, who witnessed the occurrance, said everyone was yelling, but when Alvarez "screamed 'Get off the carpet' everybody stopped. When Alvarez apologized, Farrell said, "It does not matter. You should not be yelling at any woman like that.'" Alvarez says, "I don't talk to women like that ... we are just doing a job here and people get in the way. I did apologize. If I had known it was his sister I would not have said it. Or just been more careful." At any rate, when Farrell stopped to yell at Alvarez, he stepped away from his sister in doing so and gave all the photographers an opportunity to get plenty of shots of him sans sister.
