Robin Wright Penn is at TIFF to promote her new film, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, but she's got a lot going on in her own private life as well. When asked about her impending divorce from actor Sean Penn, to whom she's been married for 13 years, she told the Toronto Star: "It ain't easy. It's like that song, it ain't easy. But then, what is emotionally in life, really and truly? There's very little that's easy any more. And yes, the unfortunate part of our business is the 'not easy' is publicized." However, she adds, "We have two incredible kids and we'll always be a family." In The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, she plays a woman who has to leave New York to go live in a retirement community when her much older husband (played by Alan Arkin) has a heart attack. Directed and written by Rebecca Miller, the movie, which also stars Keanu Reeves and Julianne Moore, hits Canadian screens on December 4th.
