Jeremy Renner spoke with Tribute’s Bonnie Laufer at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival about his role in the new dramatic thriller The Town. Renner dishes on working with director Ben Affleck, playing with guns on set and why TIFF holds a special place in his heart.

Set in Boston, The Town tells the story of longtime thief Doug MacRay (Affleck), who decides to get out of the crime business when he falls for a hostage after a botched bank robbery. MacRay’s decision to leave his past behind puts him at odds with his crew of thieves, including his best friend Jem (Renner).
