Tanya Wexler Interview - Hysteria


When director Tanya Wexler first heard the premise of her film Hysteria, she remembered thinking, “I’m gonna laugh my ass off”. And that’s the reason she wanted to make this film. Hysteria is a cheeky romance (and true story) about the invention of the vibrator in London’s Victorian era.

Ola Sturik of Tribute had a chance to chat with Wexler about the film at the TIFF 2011 and how the cast and crew worked to make the more explicit scenes seem believable.
