Young talent shines at TIFF's Student Film Showcase

This month, TIFF is featuring the best of Canada’s emerging film talent at its ninth annual Student Film Showcase. Presented along with the Film School Consortium and curated by TIFF programmers Magali Simard and Alex Rogalski, the 90-minute programme features the 10 of the year's best works in student filmmaking. The showcase will screen in Toronto on Tuesday, May 22 at the Bell Lightbox and in Vancouver on Saturday, May 26 at the Vancity Theatre. Past Showcase works have advanced to screen at major film festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival. A jury of industry professionals selects the Best Film (Live Action) and Best Film (Animation) awards. Prizes will be awarded to the winning talent, courtesy of Technicolor and the Directors Guild of Canada. Tickets are currently on sale.
