Last night, eight-time Grammy winner Lauryn Hill headlined an intimate show at the Kool Haus in Toronto in support of the ONEXONE foundation. The annual event, which always takes place during the Toronto International Film Festival, is held to raise awareness and funds for children in need in not only North America, but worldwide. ONEXONE focuses on five sectors of a child’s well-being in hopes to improve their lives: water, hunger, healthcare, education and play. Several other singers performed before Hill finally took the stage, entertaining fans well past midnight. The event was filled with Canadian celebrities, including rapper Kardinal Offishall, singers Jully Black and Fefe Dobson, Smallville’s Kristin Kreuk and Property Brothers’ Drew and Jonathan Scott. ~Shelby Bronstine (Photos by Joanne Chu-Fook)
