The trailer for Angelique’s Isle begins with Angelique (Julia Jones) and her grandmother (Tantoo Cardinal) discussing the food scarcity during the harsh winters in Ontario. Angelique and her new husband Charlie (Charlie Carrick), a voyageur, join an American team onboard a boat heading to Isle Royale, in search of a copper. The newlyweds are asked to guard the claim while the Americans go for equipment, promising to send a boat with the necessities for survival. Months pass, and nothing arrives. As they head into the harsh winter, the newlyweds are put to the test as they try to survive.
