In this trailer for Freaks, we meet Chloe (Lexy Kolker), a young girl living with her overprotective father (Emile Hirsch), hidden away from the world. In the background, a news broadcast discusses how "abnormals" and "freaks" are dangerous and that they cannot live free, while her father warns her how "they" look just like us. Not wanting to hide anymore, Chloe escapes from her house and meets Mr. Snowcone (Bruce Dern), who offers some kindly words and encourages her to be strong like her mother was. This sparks memories of her mother, with Chloe now beginning to see images of her around the house. Convinced she's still alive, Chloe is determined to find her despite her father's skepticism. As a government agency closes in on them, secrets are revealed and layers of deception are pulled back, showing that everything may not be as it seems.
