In the first trailer for the thriller Happy Death Day, we see a young college student, Tree (Jessica Rothe), wake up in a dorm room. Still foggy from a night of partying, she manages to make her way home to hear her roommate remind her that they’re hosting her birthday party that night – except it doesn’t look it’ll be a happy birthday for Tree as she is murdered by a masked madman. She then awakes in the same dorm room, repeating the day -- and reliving her “death day” over and over again, with each time bringing her closer to figuring out her killer's identity.
Happy Death Day opens in theatres October 13, 2017.
