In the first trailer for Life of the Party, Deanna (Melissa McCarthy) is brushing her teeth when she suddenly decides to throw out a number of things. She also breaks a wedding photo, so we may assume she's no longer with her husband and is getting him out of her life. She tells her daughter she doesn't regret being a stay-at-home mother, but she does regrets not getting her degree, so Deanna decides to enroll in college. Her daughter decides to give her a new look, even though she finds her mom somewhat embarrassing.
