Benjamin (Robert De Niro) is a 70-year-old man who finds himself being interviewed by a young man for an internship position. Benjamin is asked where he sees himself in 10 years. Jules Austin (Anne Hathaway) is the CEO of an online fashion business with many young adults working for her. Benjamin is hired as part of an intern program. He quickly becomes: “Mr. Congeniality, everybody loves him,” as one employee tells Jules.
Many of the young employees get advice from Benjamin as he tries to get with the times and get on Facebook. Jules helps him set up his profile and the two start to develop a friendship.
