In the gripping premiere trailer for A Kind of Murder, Walter (Patrick Wilson) and Clara (Jessica Biel) Stackhouse greet various guests as they enter their pristine home for a dinner party. When Walter innocently flirts with a young woman (Haley Bennett) during the shindig, Clara looks on with veiled jealousy. "Who is that girl Martha brought?" she asks later on in bed, but Walter ignores her query by seducing her.

When this "girl" appears at Walter's front door one day, she tempts him into something he'd never thought he'd do. The torrid affair that ensues inevitably tears his marriage apart, and when Clara somehow winds up dead, Walter emerges as the number one suspect.
