The teaser trailer for Annihilation begins with a group of armed women walking through a forest enveloped in a strange substance. One of the women (Natalie Portman) is singled out and questioned about what she saw. We learn no one is sure about what is going on and what kind of alien life form they have encountered, if any. Strange happenings begin to befall the women, with one trying to figure out what happened to her husband as she struggles to understand the being that threatened his life and threatens the lives of the others.
