At the 1991 World Table Tennis Championships in Chiba, Japan, the South Korean and North Korean table tennis teams played together on the same team. With the help of 1988 Olympic Gold Medalist Hyun Jung Hwa, the women's team won the gold medal over China.
The Koreas were together, in harmony, at least for a short time.
