In the official trailer for The Florida Project, motel manager Bobby (Willem Dafoe) kicks mischievous six-year-old Monee (Brooklynn Prince) and her friends out of his motel lobby when they drip melting ice cream on the floor. Monee shows her friends around the motel, giving away the secrets of the various residents. Bobby goes to Halley, Monee's young mother, to complain that the kids put a dead fish in the pool and that they've been throwing water balloons at tourists. Monee takes it in stride, good-naturedly telling her mother she's a disgrace. We discover that Bobby is fond of Monee and is trying to keep an eye out for her.
