In the official trailer for Manhattan Night, a police siren wails as a man named Porter Wren (Adrien Brody) says he writes a column for a daily newspaper. He is also a family man, waking up to his children and wife. However, with three deadlines a week, he is always searching for a story angle. At a party, he meets a woman (Yvonne Strahovski) who asks him to investigate her husband's death. She believes he can find the truth, because he once found a missing little girl. She gives him a bunch of video cards that may help him.
Meanwhile, Porter's wife (Jennifer Beals) tells him that a man with a gun broke into their home looking for something and shot their son. Obviously Porter is in over his head.
