Chadwick Boseman Interview

Newcomer Chadwick Boseman had his work cut out for him when he was cast as legendary ball player Jackie Robinson in 42. The young actor says he prepared extensively before taking on the role and was also excited about getting a chance to work one-on-one with Harrison Ford. 42 tells the life story of Jackie Robinson and his history-making signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers under the guidance of team executive Branch Rickey, played by Ford.

Tribute.ca spoke with Chadwick about the pressure associated with playing such an iconic figure in sports history, dealing with racial prejudice and getting the chance to work opposite one of his big screen idols, Harrison Ford.
