Canadian director Charles Martin Smith has a knack when it comes to telling heartwarming stories. His latest film, based on real life events, is Dolphin Tale, which centers on the friendship between a boy and a dolphin whose tail was lost in a crab trap.

Bonnie Laufer from Tribute spoke with Charlie about working on the film, having a dolphin as his lead actor, reuniting with actor Kris Kristofferson after more than two decades and where he loves to go to get away from it all.
